The Arctic Bird Library aims to provide comprehensive information on Arctic water and seabirds which mainly occur in the Arctic region, as defined by CAFF. A list of about 129 species links to information on habitat, threat status and distribution, with photographs, sounds and video for some species.
The site was first launched in September 1997 and has since been further developed and updated, with the latest update launched in December 2000.
