Barney Dickson
Barney took over as Head of Assessment and Decision Support at the beginning of 2013. In this new role he has oversight of five substantive programmes (Climate Change & Biodiversity, Ecosystem Assessment, Marine, Protected Areas and Species). One of his aims is to increase the collaboration between these programmes. Before this, Barney was Head of the Climate Change and Biodiversity Programme for over four years, during which it expanded considerably. Prior to joining UNEP-WCMC he worked for fifteen years on international conservation policy in Zimbabwe and the UK.
