Cordula Epple

Cordula works on various aspects of the relationship between biodiversity and climate change. These include the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, the potential of ecosystems to support climate change adaptation, and ways to ensure that efforts to slow climate change by managing ecosystem carbon stocks are in line with the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services. Before joining the Centre in 2010, she was a member of the Biodiversity Unit of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, where she had a coordinating role for the Agency’s work on biodiversity and climate change. A vegetation scientist by training, Cordula has a particular interest in understanding and improving the connections between science, policy and practice.
