UNEP-WCMC produced in 2004 the first global maps of potential cloud forest distribution at regional levels.

Research by Kings College London and AMBIOTEK has produced a pan-tropical modelled distribution of cloud-affected forests available at www.ambiotek.com/cloudforests/
