A series of regional workshops are being held to agree on stategies for the sustainable use of timber tree species in international trade.

2007 South East Asia
The second workshop, funded by the governments of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, was held in South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur 5-7 September 2007.

2005 Mesoamerica
The first workshop, for Mesoamerica, was held in Nicaragua in 2005, funded by the governments of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The workshop report is available here.

2008/9 Further Workshops
Future workshops are planned for Oceania, Africa, South Asia, South America and northern temporate regions, once funding is secured.
