Global Biodiversity Outlook-3
The Global Biodiversity Outlook is a flagship publication of the Convention on Biological Diversity, informing about the status and trends of biodiversity, the status of the implementation of the Convention, and the challenges for achieving the three objectives of the CBD: conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of biodiversity, and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the use of genetic resources.
Supported by the European Commission and UNEP, UNEP-WCMC provided support for the production of GBO-3. The Centre provided information on the 2010 indicators, working closely with the partners of the Biodiversity Indicators Partnership (BIP). The Centre also supported the CBD Secretariat on other aspects of the Global Biodiversity Outlook, including the peer-review process and the development of communication and dissemination products.
