Making conservation easy.
The Informatics Unit aims to combine industry standards and the latest technologies to deliver tools of excellence.
In conjunction with and within the domain of the Centre's Programmes, these tools are designed both to inform about the importance of biodiversity and to improve the quality of information about the health of our planet.
We now develop predominantly in Ruby On Rails, taking advantage of mapping technologies to create simple interfaces for rich data. Project typically fit into one of the following 3 categories: information and data visualization; mapping; reporting processes.
Some of the projects developed by the Informatics Unit are:
Applications allowing the management of reporting processes, from configuration of reports to submission of data.
