This searchable database includes all species listed in the Appendices of CITES with the exception of Appendix-II Orchidaceae, for which the data are only partially complete. Generic names of Cactaceae and Orchidaceae hybrids are not included.

Information on the full Appendix history of the taxa selected is provided, as are all specific reservations entered by Parties and export quotas.

To search by phylum, class or order

1. Select 'Phylum', 'Class' or 'Order' and click on 'Find it'
2. Select taxon from pull-down menu
3. Select a country (faster search) or leave "All countries" (slower search)
4. Click on 'Search'

To search by family, genus or species

1. Select 'Family', 'Genus' or 'Species' and click on 'Find it'
2. Type the name (faster search) or part of the name (slower search)
3. Select a country (faster search) or leave "All countries" (slower search)
4. Click on 'Search'

To search by common name

1. Select 'Common name' and click on 'Find it'
2. Type the name (faster search) or part of the name (slower search)
3. Select a language (faster search) or leave "All" (slower search)
4. Select a country (faster search) or leave "All countries" (slower search)
5. Click on 'Search'

To search by country

1. Select a country name from the pull-down menu
2. Click on 'Search'
