CMS Information Management System

Effective and efficient conservation action requires information on which to base planning and decision-making. The CMS Information Management System provides access to the various components and services derived from the implementation of the CMS Information Management Plan.

This system, developed by UNEP-WCMC on behalf of the CMS Secretariat, brings together the data from various expert organisations, the knowledge generated within the CMS and other biodiversity agreements, and the information provided by the Parties to CMS through their National Reports. A synoptic overview of the information provided by Parties in their reports for the period 2002-2005 is provided in UNEP/CMS/Conf.8.5/Add1 Analysis and synthesis of National Reports.

The information integrated to date by the CMS Information Management System is accessible through the querying facilities below.
