Meet our staff
Jessica Smith
Jessica Smith is the Senior Programme Officer for “Land & Livelihoods”, establishing this new area of work which includes key partnerships with UNCCD, UNDP and IIED. Through a diverse career, she has focused on mainstreaming biodiversity into development, biodiversity-based trade and enterprises, drylands development, and implementation of the Rio Conventions, with regional emphasis on southern Africa and the Sahel. A palm reader once advised Jessica that she would achieve greater success in life by pursuing the creative arts.
