The following images have been provided for free one-off use by the press for any articles which cover the World Atlas of Coral Reefs. Any use of these photos should be acknowledged to the photographer (Mark D. Spalding).

In addition, any photos from the Atlas are available for inclusion into articles, however payment will be required directly to owners of the images.

Chagos Island
M Spalding A small coral islet in the Chagos Archipelago or British Indian Ocean Territory. A vast area of coral reefs and now largely uninhabited islands is one of the most important areas of coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, administered by the UK.

M Spalding A tourist in the Saba Marine Park, Netherlands Antilles. Marine Parks such as this are extremely well run, and are generating income and employment for local people, whilst protecting precious marine resources.
