Matthew Jones

Matt’s main role is to support businesses to use biodiversity data and tools. He coordinates and delivers technical assistance and training to the Proteus Partners, is responsible within UNEP-WCMC for the Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool, and works with companies to develop individual projects which help them to consider biodiversity within policy and operations. Prior to joining UNEP-WCMC Matt worked on biodiversity conservation and development projects in Tanzania and as a consultant to the energy, transport, utilities and construction sectors. Out of the office Matt spends most of his time coaching rowing for Jesus College Boat Club or teaching his dog why it is a bad idea to eat things that he finds on walks.
