Megan Tierney

Megan uses her skills in data mining, management and analysis to contribute towards the development of biodiversity and ecosystem service indicators for integration into ecosystem management and conservation initiatives. She enjoys being involved with capacity building exercises that revolve around the development and use of indicators, and seeing the fundamentals of science turn into policy actions on the ground. Megan also has a strong interest in the polar regions and has extensive experience in ecosystem management and resource use in these areas. She has a degree in Marine Biology and a PhD in Antarctic Marine Ecology. When not at work, she enjoys kicking a football around the backyard with her dog.
