Sarah Smith

Sarah provides support across UNEP-WCMC in developing and implementing projects relating to multilateral environmental agreements and other intergovernmental processes; helping to ensure that the Centre’s work provides direct support to the secretariats and advisory/governance bodies of those agreements and processes, and to implementation of those agreements and processes at national level.
Before this role Sarah worked as a project manager for the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (a partnership between the University in Cambridge and a number of conservation organisations based in and around Cambridge) helping to develop collaborative projects across the partner organisations; and before that for six years for the UK government on various biodiversity issues.
Outside work Sarah enjoys being a Mum and playing the violin and piano.
