UNEP-WCMC provides access to data, information documents and analytical tools relevant to the CITES community and other biodiversity related Conventions.
CITES Trade Database
The CITES Trade Database, managed by UNEP-WCMC on behalf of the CITES Secretariat, holds over 10 million records of trade in wildlife and c. 50 000 scientific names of taxa listed by CITES. The Guide to Interpreting Outputs from the CITES Trade database describes the outputs from the database and codes used in the outputs to help with the understanding of CITES trade data.
Trade Information Query Tool
Use our trade information query tool for species searches and downloads of CITES export quota information, CITES Notifications relating to trade bans and suspensions, and European Union suspensions and EU SRG opinions.
CITES Species Checklist 2011
The Checklist of CITES species is produced by UNEP-WCMC following each meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES, taking into account all changes agreed by the Parties.
The 2011 Checklist of CITES species, containing updates from CoP15, is the latest edition of this document.
This edition has been restructured, and now comprises:
Part 1: CITES Species Index (previously called the Checklist of CITES Species)
Part 2: History of CITES Listings (previously called the Annotated Appendices and Reservations).
