Meet our staff
Stuart Douglas-Whitehead
Stuart’s association with the Centre began as far back as the mid-1980's. He was given the responsibility to oversee the move into the new building in 1993, and has been Facilities Manager since this time. A recent successful refurbishment programme saw the desk capacity rise by over a third, allowing the expanding scientific staff numbers to be accommodated.
Stuart spent many years in retail management with a national chain of stores, before moving into Facilities Management. He has been a member of BIFM since 2008
He takes pride in keeping the building running as smoothly as possible, and its current good order is proof of that. He is single minded in his effort to support the activities of all staff without fuss or favour.
