Boipelo Tshwene-Mauchaza

Programme Officer | Climate Change and Biodiversity

Within the Climate Change and Biodiversity Programme, Boi works at the science-policy interface to help ensure that climate change and biodiversity policies are informed and guided by science. She works on projects that support effective decision-making on biodiversity and climate change, with particular emphasis on climate change mitigation through managing ecosystems to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Her work also covers the impacts of climate change on biodiversity and ecosystem services, and nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation in both developed and developing countries. Boi holds a PhD in Geography and the Environment (Climate Change and Biodiversity) from the University of Oxford.
