Calum leads and supports various technical work on projects in the Centre. He focuses on biodiversity modelling and spatial analysis, and operates mostly at a global level. He has a special interest in linking decision-making to biodiversity outcomes.
Within the Trade Hub project, Calum is using modelling techniques to understand the connections between land use change, and biodiversity and ecosystem services. In another Trade Hub project, he is modelling projected volumes of wildlife trade under different scenarios. He is also working with others in Science to develop tools and metrics to assess the biodiversity impacts of site-level decision-making.
