Kim Dunn

Programme Officer | Business and Biodiversity

Kim’s role in the Business and Biodiversity Programme involves supporting the integration of biodiversity into corporate decision-making using environmental economics and natural capital valuation techniques. This includes assessing, reviewing and synthesising technical information and communicating with the private sector to enhance evidence-based support for biodiversity.

Previous experience & expertise

Kim is a geologist with extensive research and fieldwork experience. Prior to joining the centre, her role as a geologist in a multinational hydrocarbon company gave her experience in technical analysis, petroleum economics and private sector policies. She has also developed an understanding of science communication and global sustainability initiatives through her most recent MSc in Science, Technology and Society at University College London. Her dissertation focused on sustainable natural resource management and the policy-making process of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC).
