Leo’s role within the Business and Biodiversity Programme involves supporting our private sector partners in the interpretation and application of scientific data regarding biodiversity. This aims to help integrate biodiversity into corporate decision-making.
Leo has over 5 years’ experience in environmental consultancy and the communication of scientific principles to non-technical audiences. Having most recently been the lead ecologist for a consultancy based in Singapore, he provided biodiversity expertise to feed ecological considerations into development planning for tourism and impact assessments for infrastructure projects. He also has experience managing operations and scientific content for an environmental education organisation, delivering content to colleges and universities worldwide.
Leo has an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Leeds where his work contributed to the national guidelines for primate reintroduction in Belize.
