Noor is supporting the Centre’s work on integrating ecosystems and their services into the policies and decisions of critical sectors and across governance levels. He works closely on enhancing communications for technical guidance, bridging science and policy to support the Centre’s partners. Noor is interested in the intersections of human and ecosystem health and how they are reflected in socioeconomic policies.
Between 2012-2018, Noor was Executive Coordinator at Nature Conservation Egypt (NCE), the local Birdlife Partner and IUCN member, and was actively engaged in mainstreaming biodiversity within key sectors, including renewable energy, tourism and hunting management. Noor also worked with Dayma Journeys as a seasonal environmental educator, focused on bridging biodiversity with wellbeing, culture and innovation.
