Sophie’s role as HR Officer involves working within the People team, dealing with a wide spectrum of HR duties. She provides administrative and organisational support to the People team and the Centre as a whole, particularly in relation to recruitment, payroll & benefits, training & development and employee relations.
Sophie previously worked for a large commercial company in Cambridge for over a year gaining experience in the HR sector. As a generalist HR Assistant she was involved in a large variety of HR functions. These included recruitment, starters, leavers, sickness, maternity/paternity, project work, training and development and employee relations. Prior to this, Sophie graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in Psychology. Her main areas of research included the psychology of eating behaviour, the focus for her dissertation, alongside developmental, consumer and clinical psychology.
