We specialize in supporting leaders across all sectors to integrate nature into every step of decision-making. To achieve this, we support national and intergovernmental processes for the development and use of biodiversity indicators for monitoring progress, adaptive action and reporting towards biodiversity-related targets. We have a strong focus on strengthening capacity for national monitoring systems, and in convening global indicator partners to support this process, including through the National Monitoring Support Initiative, which supports countries around the world in strengthening monitoring systems, including through the development and use of indicators.  

We maintain and share information about biodiversity indicators to increase their adoption and use by all stakeholders, including governments, business and other agencies at national and subnational levels, including cities.
