Facilities and Sustainability Officer (AD1250)

Directorate | Permanent, full-time, Specialist Officer

£26,000- £32,000 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for a friendly, proactive and highly organised Facilities Officer to oversee our facilities function. You will be responsible for the maintenance, security and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organisation and its employees. The purpose of the role is to look after all of the facilities services that enables WCMC do its work.

The UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre is a world leader in biodiversity knowledge. This role will provide you with the chance to demonstrate your logical thinking, problem solving and strong organisational skills in taking care of property and ground maintenance, organising contractors, managing office repairs and refurbishments and implementing the annual planned maintenance programmes. A skilled people person, you will be excellent at developing lasting rapport with colleagues and will instil confidence as you manage all queries regarding office facilities and equipment. You will be confident in managing conflicting priorities and bring a calm and considered approach to the role. If you enjoy engaging with others, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and have a passion for the role that facilities can play in providing a positive workspace, this role is ideal for you!
