We are looking for an experienced relationship focussed fundraiser to join our Development and Communications Team.

The UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) is a global centre of excellence on biodiversity. The Centre operates as a collaboration between UNEP and the UK registered charity WCMC. Together, we are confronting the global crisis facing nature. We do this through collaborating with partners around the world to create innovative solutions to environmental challenges. With so much emphasis and importance currently being placed on mitigating against biodiversity loss, and caring for our planet, there really is no better time to join an expert, innovative and forward-thinking conservation organisation.

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for assisting with all areas of fundraising for UNEP-WCMC and will support our ambitious goals to significantly increase funding for our work, particularly from trusts, foundations and major donors. The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with excellent written skills to produce compelling proposals and reports for donors. They will thrive in a fast paced and exciting working environment and will enjoy regular face-to-face relationship development with new donors for UNEP-WCMC.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post within an impactful, international organisation at the forefront of conservation then we want to hear from you. To apply, please complete an application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter via the link below by 13th April 2020.

WCMC attaches great importance to addressing safeguarding and ethical considerations in all activities carried out by its staff, including where partner organisations or individuals are part of the delivery of our work. This includes children and vulnerable adults in the community who may be vulnerable to abuse. WCMC act with integrity, are transparent and expect applicants to share the same values.
